As DJs, we have the near-impossible task of guaranteeing perfection, done with a smile on our faces, despite the fact that we usually always have SOMETHING working against us.

From unpredictable weather conditions to nonsensical floor plans, congested frequency areas, frustrating load-ins, insufficient power situations, technology mishaps, powering through minor injuries or illness to even our very own insecurities (just to name a few)
…it’s never easy. 

There are so many qualities we have that go beyond buttery voices and trained hands. The truth is, it takes a special individual to do this job. As problem solvers, creatives, people-pleasers, designers, risk-takers, visionaries, givers, empaths, nerds, organizers, planners, and detail-obsessed perfectionists; we possess incredible strengths that are often underestimated or underappreciated. Ironically this is often our own doing, because what also makes us remarkable is making this all seem effortlessly simple in public view. 

Salute the DJs out there who hustle week after week, year after year, with the ability to make it happen no matter what. Keep doing great things even if it’s harder than you planned.
